Wired4Women by BCX embraces diversity and inclusion
At BCX we are passionate about diversity and inclusion, not only in our own ranks, but throughout the South African business world and the wider community. The Wired4Women project is an initiative spearheaded by our Managing Executive: Marketing at BCX,Mpho Hlefana, providing support and networking opportunities for women in tech. The Fourth Industrial Revolution is in full swing and women in the industry play a critical role in this key sector at every level. The aim of the initiative is to devise concrete ways to strengthen the female pipeline for the industry, while raising awareness of the role of women in Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
We need to empower and inspire the next generation of women in tech. To make a real impact, we’re women investing in other women.

Why does Wired4Women exist?
In a competitive market where half of the world’s population are women, the importance of female contributors and decision makers cannot be ignored.
Wired4Women was established to put women at the forefront of technology, showcasing female game changers who are making strides in the industry.
The platform encompasses stories, content and webinars, and serves to encourage more women to become mentors and demonstrate female leaders who pave the way for girls in tech.

Nomonde White-Ndlovu
Chief Information Officer, Group Compliance at Absa Group
Nomonde is a distinguished technology and compliance executive, serving as the chief information officer for group compliance at Absa Group. With extensive experience operating at the intersection of technology, risk, compliance and business strategy, Nomonde ensures that compliance technology capabilities are secure, resilient, scalable and future-ready while aligned with Absa’s broader digital and transformation agenda. As chairperson of Wired4Women, she brings her wealth of corporate experience to champion women in technology, drive inclusion and inspire the next generation of leaders.
Kelebogile Mosiane
Vice President: Digital and IT, DP World
Kelebogile is a seasoned technology and digital transformation leader with extensive experience across corporate, consulting and entrepreneurial environments. Throughout her career, she has held senior IT and information management roles, gaining expertise in business intelligence, analytics and large-scale technology implementation. In addition, she has led entrepreneurial ventures and is actively involved in advancing women in technology through advisory roles such as Wired4Women, earning recognition as a transformative leader who bridges technology and business to deliver sustainable results in complex, fast-paced environments.
Boitumelo Sathekge
General Manager, Transnet
Boitumelo is a distinguished technology and enterprise transformation leader, currently serving as general manager: enterprise technology & project management office (PMO) at Transnet SOC Ltd. With a career spanning senior leadership roles across prominent organisations, Boitumelo has led complex ICT infrastructures, enterprise-wide digital transformations and multi-national projects across the African continent. Beyond her corporate achievements, she is a passionate mentor and advocate for women in technology, dedicated to fostering leadership, inclusion and meaningful impact across the ICT sector.
Caryn Berman
Business Development Director, Brainstorm Magazine
Caryn is a versatile, well-experienced marketing and business-development professional. With 20 years in the media sector, Caryn has established the Brainstorm brand firmly in the market as the first choice for B2B marketing.
Dr Denisha Jairam-Owthar
Group Chief Information Officer, Council for Medical Schemes
Denisha is the group chief information officer at the Council for Medical Schemes, where she leads the organisation’s digital transformation, enterprise IT strategy and technology governance. She brings extensive experience in technology leadership across highly regulated environments and has successfully led large-scale enterprise systems implementations, cybersecurity initiatives, cloud and digital integration programmes and data-driven transformation projects. In addition to her professional responsibilities, Denisha serves on the board of Wired4Women, where she contributes to advancing initiatives that empower women in technology.
Dr Philile Mkhize
Group Chief Operating Officer, Santam Ltd
Philile brings more than 25 years of executive experience in operations, technology strategy, transformational leadership and business innovation across major corporate sectors. Prior to joining Santam, Philile served as chief operating officer at Absa Technology, leading enterprise technology operations and digital transformation initiatives. In addition to her corporate experience, she has co-founded CommuScore Credit Scoring and launched Vibes Interiors, a multi-award-winning design and branding studio. She is also a passionate advocate for women in technology and leadership, serving as the vice chairperson of Wired4Women, where she mentors and supports women across the ICT sector.
Gugu Mthembu
Chief Marketing Officer, Telkom
Gugu is the chief marketing officer at Telkom, where she drives multi-channel brand strategy, customer engagement and commercial growth initiatives. With over 20 years of experience across ICT, telecommunications and marketing leadership, she has held key roles in various organisations and is recognised for her industry impact, having been named Brand Leader of the Year at The Mark Awards (2025), serving as president of the Creative Business Transformation Jury at Cannes Lions (2026) and contributing as a juror for global awards such as the WARC Awards. Serving as a valued member of Wired4Women, Gugu mentors, guides and inspires initiatives that empower women across the ICT sector.
Helen Nicholson
Chief Executive Officer and Founder, The Networking Company
Helen is a globally recognised entrepreneur, personal branding and networking expert. She is widely regarded as the ‘Networking Queen’ for her work in helping organisations and individuals unlock the strategic power of personal and professional networks. Under her leadership, The Networking Company has grown into a respected learning and development partner across Southern Africa and beyond, designing bespoke programmes in leadership development, networking, soft skills mastery and mindful resilience. Helen is also a best-selling author and a sought-after international speaker. A passionate advocate for women’s leadership, Helen serves on the board of Wired4Women, helping to advance gender inclusion and professional development across sectors.

Helen is an experienced Chief Information Officer with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry. She was a finalist for the Visionary CIO award in 2019 and 2022, and is an executive member for the Group at AVBOB Mutual Assurance Society.
Itumeleng Makgati
Divisional Executive: Enterprise, Group Technology, Nedbank
Itumeleng is a seasoned and strategic technology executive with nearly two decades of experience leading complex IT, cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives across financial services, energy, mining and consulting sectors. She currently serves as divisional executive: group technology at Nedbank, where she leads enterprise technology strategy and innovation to drive business value, streamline operations and strengthen organisational resilience. A recognised advocate for women in technology, Itumeleng is a board member of Wired4Women, supporting mentorship, inclusion and thought leadership to inspire the next generation of women technologists.
Jeniffer Ramnath
Chief Digital and Information Officer, Mastercard Foundation
Jeniffer is a technology specialist with over 25 years’ experience. Before joining Mastercard, Jeniffer was MD: Technology Strategy and Advisory at Accenture. She is an experienced collaborator, facilitator and keynote speaker mentoring women in technology.
Kerusha Kanjee
Chief Information Officer, Wealth & Investment International, Investec
Kerusha is an award-winning technology leader and the chief information officer (CIO) for Investec Wealth & Investment International at Investec. With over 17 years of experience in IT and financial services, Kerusha has held senior leadership roles that equipped her to deliver transformative digital solutions and impactful business results. She is recognised for her mentorship and advocacy for women in technology and STEM, and her contributions were acknowledged when she was named CIO of the Year at the 2025 Wired4Women Awards. Kerusha also serves as a board member on Wired4Women, where she champions initiatives that advance women in technology.
Khathu Sibanda
Chief Information Officer, TCTA (Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority)
Khathu is a seasoned technology and digital transformation leader, with over two decades of experience leading complex ICT initiatives across public and private sectors. Recognised for her disciplined, results-driven approach and ability to build high-performing teams, she has deep expertise in ICT governance, risk and compliance and aligning technology initiatives with organisational strategy. Beyond her executive roles, Khathu is a passionate advocate for women in technology and serves as a board member of Wired4Women, contributing her leadership to initiatives that empower women and advance diversity in the tech sector.

Mpho is responsible for all aspects of BCX’s marketing efforts and has considerable experience in B2B marketing, particularly in the ICT sector. She has strong cultural competence leading multidimensional teams and is a dynamic public speaker and team motivator.
Nollie Maoto
Group Compliance and Chief Data and Analytics Officer, FirstRand
Nollie is a dynamic and award-winning senior executive in data, analytics, governance and compliance. Her career spans over 16 years in consulting, financial services and analytics. She is widely recognised for her contributions to the data community, having featured on the Global Data Power Women list and received awards such as Inspirational Leader of the Year and Financial Women Trailblazer of the Year. She is deeply committed to mentorship and diversity in technology, serving on the boards of several organisations including Wired4Women, where she supports women’s leadership and inclusion in tech.
Nonhlanhla ‘Noni’ Tshabalala
Senior Manager Product and Platforms: Digital Enablement SA, MultiChoice
Noni is passionate about digital transformation and driving strategy execution. She has over 10 years’ experience working across various industries, the majority gained in financial services. She joined Absa in 2013 and then MultiChoice in 2021.
Pulana Ngwasheng
Chief Information Officer, Zeda Limited
Pulana is a seasoned technology executive and business transformation leader, bringing extensive experience gained across leading organisations, having held senior technology and leadership roles at various companies. Pulana is recognised for her ability to bridge the gap between technology and business, driving impactful change through strong governance, agile delivery and high-performing teams. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Pulana is a dedicated advocate for inclusion and leadership development in the ICT sector and serves as a board member of Wired4Women, where she plays an active role in advancing the representation and progression of women in technology.

Sne is an accomplished technology and digital transformation leader, with over 15 years of experience across diverse industries. Prior to joining Sasol, she served as group vice president: technology and digital at AECI, where she led enterprise technology strategy and digital transformation across a global industrial organisation. Beyond her executive responsibilities, Sne is a passionate advocate for women in technology, inclusion and leadership development. She serves as a board member of Wired4Women, contributing to initiatives that champion diversity, mentorship and the advancement of women in technology.
Thato Sopeng
Digital and Technology Executive, Sasol
Thato is a seasoned digital and technology executive with more than two decades of experience leading digital transformation, technology strategy and innovation across major African enterprises. Her extensive career spans consulting, financial services, retail and energy, where she has held senior leadership roles. A strong advocate for mentorship, diversity and continuous learning, Thato is passionate about advancing technology leadership and developing the next generation of African technologists.
Beauty Apleni
Chief Executive Officer, Openserve
Beauty is a seasoned South African telecommunications and ICT leader with over 25 years of experience and more than 15 years in executive leadership. She is recognised for driving large-scale change and delivering results through strategic insight and a hands-on approach, while championing greater inclusion and representation of women in the technology sector. Appointed CEO of Openserve in July 2025, she leads the company’s fibre network growth and digital connectivity strategy in support of the Telkom Group’s “One Telkom” vision.
